The Türkiye Research Scholarship Programme supports international researchers and academics who wish to undertake research in cooperation with academics at universities in Türkiye.
Applications are accepted throughout the year and assessed during four application periods. The current third period runs from July to September, with results expected in October.
Scholarship value and duration
The programme provides:
- a monthly stipend of 25,000 TL; and
- support for a research period lasting between three and twelve months.
The scholarship covers the monthly stipend only. Accommodation, travel and other living expenses are not included.
Who can apply?
The programme is intended for:
- international researchers;
- academics;
- PhD holders; and
- PhD candidates who have reached the dissertation stage.
Applicants for the Research Scholarship must also be under 50 years of age under the current general criteria.
Application periods
Research Scholarship applications are evaluated four times each year:
- January–March;
- April–June;
- July–September; and
- October–December.
