Applicants should rely on the address provided by NYSC rather than unverified locations circulating on social media.

Important registration requirements

Prospective corps members should follow the instructions on their call-up letters and NYSC dashboard carefully.

NYSC states that biometric verification is compulsory at orientation camp. Prospective corps members are expected to remember the fingers used during online biometric capture, as those who cannot be verified may not be registered.

Medical professionals should also bring their relevant professional licences to camp.

Foreign-trained Nigerian graduates have additional requirements and must bring the original credentials and travel documents required by NYSC.

Foreign-trained graduates

NYSC conducted physical verification of credentials and travel documents for foreign-trained prospective corps members for Batch C Stream One before the commencement of camp.

The Scheme states that foreign-trained graduates must present their original credentials and relevant travel documents for verification. Medical graduates must also provide licences and registration certificates issued by their professional bodies.

NYSC warns against night travel

NYSC Director-General Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu advised prospective corps members travelling to orientation camps to avoid night journeys and to board vehicles only at designated motor parks.

This advice is particularly important for corps members travelling long distances to their states of deployment.

NYSC has consistently advised prospective corps members to break long journeys rather than continue travelling at night.

NYSC emergency contact

NYSC currently operates a 24-hour Distress Call Centre for corps members and the public.

The official short code is:

The number can be dialled from mobile networks in Nigeria.
